Every film here was approved by a person who watched it. No algorithm decides what belongs. The curatorial team is small on purpose — invited, named, accountable.
Of every rental, 70% routes directly to the filmmaker's bank at the moment of the transaction — not held back for monthly settlement. The remaining 30% supports Akakū and covers payment processing.
Maui Stream is built and operated by Akakū Maui Community Media — Maui's nonprofit community media organization since 1991.
